Soviet eighties. A little town in the periphery. After his parents' divorce, 11-year-old Rolanas and his dad move in next door to same-aged Emilija. PT.  Nesta nova fase da luta contra os piratas de biodiversidade, Tainá enfrenta uma perigosa quadrilha que, para capturar e comercializar espécimes raros da fauna amazônica, ataca as árvores milenares onde muitos deles se abrigam. Agora uma pré-adolescente, a indiazinha se divide entre o enfrentamento dos bandidos e a atenção para com a pequenina Catiti, de seis anos, que foge da aldeia querendo imitar Tainá como protetora do meio ambiente. A garotinha sonha encontrar seu xerimbabo, bichinho de estimação. Tainá também tem problemas com Carlito, menino que veio da cidade para passar as férias com o pai, um biólogo. Ele trouxe Boris, um pequeno cão que se perde na mata, resgatado por Catiti. Há um choque cultural envolvendo os conhecimentos urbanos, científicos, do estudante Carlito, e o saber natural, tradicional, de Tainá. Mas todos devem unir-se para vencer a agressividade dos malfeitores. Boris é devolvido ao seu dono e Catiti adota uma oncinha órfã. A liderança, a coragem e a astúcia de Tainá triunfam novamente. Ela vai prosseguir em sua saga de defensora da floresta.

It was shot in Manaus, the capital of the state of Amazonas, and also in Ubatuba, São Paulo, where Amazônia was simulated in close-ups.
The evil woman Zuzu gets these two men to go to the jungle and take the animals and this little amazon jungle girl Tainá have to rescue the animals. And the men shot the mother of the cute little jungle cat, and the jungle cat was only a little baby and it got very sad.
