EN. Demi-Tarif follows the low-key adventures of three young siblings, Romeo (Kolia Litscher), Launa (Lila Salet), and the youngest, Leo (Cindy David), left on their own in a rundown Paris apartment. One of them narrates, wistfully explaining how their mother abandoned them and calls them once in a while to see how they are doing or tell them she loves them. The three kids do as they please, roaming the streets, running out of restaurants without paying for food, and shoplifting from the local grocery store. They eat whatever and whenever they want, gorging themselves on sweets. They beg for change on the Metro and show up late for school in tattered, dirty clothes. All the while, they try to keep the fact that they are alone a secret from the world of adults.

Story of only boy in home living with his mother and other female relatives In an early scene, he gets up from his bed completely naked and stands in front of his elder relatives in order to prove he is a grown man, and then his teenage sister comes dancing into the room with her transistor radio pressed to her ear, but upon seeing her brother’s nudity she forgets the music and develops a serious lust for him. He then has a sexual encounter with a female by the sea on the rocks as his also naked sister watches with obvious jealousy.
Days later, swimming nude again, he runs smack dab into the Nordic trio of cuties, all of whom, as we see through flashbacks, have developed odd sexual hangups, one of whom being raped by a priest which causes her to re-enact the scenario for pleasure again and again, and eventually does so with our hero, in a perverse scene that is quite out of place in this otherwise conservative yet butt-naked-flesh-everywhere film. Eventually, the sister’s lust boils over and the siblings are close to giving in to desire...

Vincent Leblanc, douze ans, n'est pas un enfant tout a fait comme les autres : il a un quotient intellectuel largement superieur a la moyenne. Solitaire, il passe beaucoup de temps a reflechir. Son exceptionnelle faculte d'analyse lui permet de comprendre instantanement ceux qui l'entourent. C'est ainsi qu'il devine le malaise qui croit entre ses parents. Son pere, artisan en faillite, vit tres mal la reussite de sa femme, veritable «wonder woman» a qui tout semble reussir. Il se sent depossede de son role de chef de famille. Vincent apprend, en outre, qu'il n'a pas paye le loyer depuis un an. Il decide de voler a son secours et de reunir la somme necessaire. Ses resultats scolaires commencent a baisser, ce qui aggrave la discorde entre ses parents...

DESPITE its weighty mood, "La Bouche de Jean-Pierre" manages to avoid any notable insights into its serious subject matter. Mimi, a young French girl, is in the aftershock of her mother's attempted suicide. No father is in the picture. She suffers neglect when she goes to live with her Aunt Solange in a highrise ghetto, and sleazy advances from her Aunt's boyfriend, Jean-Pierre. Added to these themes of depression, physical and sexual abuse, are those of pornography, racism, and the perversity of a pill-pushing society. With weak dialogue and a lack of clear direction, none of these themes are developed, let alone given an interesting or sensitive spin. The dull quality of acting barely inspires the sympathy for Mimi that might have rendered the end poignant if predictable.

Winter 1943. Martina is small child, who stopped talking since the death of her infant brother some years before. She lives in a rural area of central Italy. Her mother is pregnant again and Martina lives for the arrival of her new brother. Meanwhile, the war is getting closer and closer, forcing the people of the village to tread a difficult path, torn between the partisan brigades and the Nazi Army. On practically the same day as the birth of Martina's brother, the SS start a massive roundup of civilians in the area, an infamous event that will come to be known as the Marzabotto massacre during which more than 1700 people were killed in houses, cemeteries and churches.
