EN. Jericho (Spanish: Jericó) is a 1991 Venezuelan drama film directed by Luis Alberto Lamata. The film was selected as the Venezuelan entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 64th Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee.

Der heitere Fernsehfilm von 1977 bot den Zuschauern ein Wiedersehen mit beliebten Darstellern in einer Geschichte über zwei Freunde, die durch den Einfluss der Liebe in einige Verwirrungen geraten, an deren Ende aber die wahre Liebe den rechten Weg weist. Schauplatz des ganzen war Berlin, die Hauptstadt der DDR, deren Straßen und Plätze, Häuser und Wohnungen.
Und mitten drin in diesem Milieu lebt Ulrike Busch (Susanne Linser), ein zehnjähriges Mädchen, dass mit Energie und Zielstrebigkeit nach einem neuen Vater sucht. Als Ulrike zusammen mit ihrem Schulfreund den aus Mühlhausen stammenden Bauarbeiter Dieter Körber (Jürgen Heinrich) kennen lernt, ist sie überzeugt, dass dieser ihr neuer Vater sein könnte. Nun gilt es, Ulrikes Mutter (Micaëla Kreißler) mit sanfter Hand zu ihrem neuen Glück zu führen. Dass dabei auch der sympathische Großvater Karl (Gerhard Bienert) mit einbezogen wird, darf an dieser Stelle nicht unerwähnt bleiben.
Diese TV-Produktion galt in der Zeit ihres Entstehens als gelungenes Werk, vom realen Sozialismus zu berichten, von der Geborgenheit und Zukunftsgewissheit der Menschen in der DDR, und sie war zudem der wiederholte Versuch, der Hauptstadt Berlin eine Liebeserklärung zu offerieren.

Spain 1960, the dawn of the country's economic development. Industrial "reorganization" means that many workers have lost their jobs and are forced to emigrate. Martin is one of them. Martin, his wife Pilar and their son Pablito live with Mart'n's parents in a basement apartment that comes with their job as superintendents of the building. Encouraged by Marcos, his friend and co-worker, Martin decides to emigrate to Switzerland. The whole family has to admit that for the time being this is the most promising plan. Unable to obtain a work contract from the Swiss Consulate, Martin and Marcos decide to go anyway, pretending they are tourists to get past the border police. Pablito will experience drastic changes in a short period of time: his father's departure, a new way of life in a different country with a different environment and learning another language. But afterwards, in Switzerland, they will face new experiences which will allow them to live with renewed happiness.

DREAMWOOD is James Broughton’s most surreal, abstract, dreamlike and bizarre movie. A man plagued by an industrial, modern world hates what he has become, has visions of a strange woman and goes on some kind of quest on an island where he encounters all kinds of tests, tribulations and adventures. This includes naughty nuns, materialism in the form of a man in front of a dresser with drawers full of pigeons which he promptly axes, a swarm of aggressive naked children, naked river nymphs, a leather-clad dominatrix, an alternate version of himself, what may be a succubus helped by masked men, and various other odds and ends, until he makes love to nature and defecates on her. Dream-like super-impositions, cinematography and sound add to this hippy-esque and symbolic fantasy-cum-parable.

Even Carnival, with all its colorfulness and celebration, cant disguise the mounting tension between the villagers and government making the girls coming of age all the more difficult when the two collide. This movie combines attractive visual scenes with a highly sensual atmosphere as Florencia fights and uses all her resources and beauty to survive and find revenge.

In a turn he crashes into a garden and hurts a man with his car. He and Alice run away from the accident in the car. Alice promises not to tell anybody about what has happened. When things are getting worse in the family, Alice decides to find the man in the garden and tell him that it is her father who hurt him.

Plivnik. 1990.
Malá Bětka se trápí pro ztracené černé kuřátko. Tatínek, aby ji utěšil, vypráví holčičce pohádku o Plivníkovi a také to, že Plivník, ztracené černé kuře, na sebe mohlo vzít jinou podobu, třeba i lidskou. To je ovšem něco pro Bětčinu fantazii. Vykonstruuje si, že ztracený Plivník je jejich nová sousedka, chalupářka z Prahy, a zosnuje spolu s kamarádkou Andulkou velkolepou past, na kterou ovšem sama doplatí. V komedii pro děti i dospělé si hlavní dětskou roli zahrála Klára Jandová.

Skleněný dům / The Glass House. 1981.
Do dětského domova přichází nová dívka, asi dvanáctiletá Pavla. Snaží se chovat jistě a sebevědomě, ale necítí se v novém kolektivu nejlépe. Dostane se hned do konfliktu se starší vychovatelkou Morávkovou a její vzdor se začne stupňovat. Jediný člověk, ke kterému se Pavla citově přimkne, je mladá vychovatelka Jarmila. Svěří se jí se svou averzí vůči otci - alkoholikovi, pozná, že Jarmilu její trápení zajímá, a proto ji stále vyhledává. Během výletu, na který ji Jarmila vezme, se seznámí s jejím budoucím mužem. Je tím zaskočena a začne na Milana žárlit. Bojuje o Jarmilinu přízeň dětskými zbraněmi, není přístupná logickému vysvětlení, začíná být zlá, nespravedlivá a trucovitá. Chce si za každou cenu vynutit Jarmilinu přízeň jen a jen pro sebe. Onemocní jen proto, aby zjistila, jak na to bude Jarmila reagovat. Ostatní děti ji nezajímají, chce mít citové zázemí v dospělém člověku. V závěru se však přece jen s Jarmilinou svatbou i s jejím odchodem smíří a zvítězí u ní přirozená potřeba být s dětmi a zapojí se do normálního života v dětském kolektivu.

Velké trápení. 1974.
Příběh filmu se odehrává v dětském domově a líčí osudy dospívající dívky Jany, která se chystá prožít prázdniny s otcem. Jana ale hledá citové jistoty, a tak od otce uteče k matce a mladší sestře, kde se zdá, že by rodina mohla být zase spolu. Film se naléhavě zabývá neblahým dopadem rozpadlé rodiny na dětskou psychiku.

At first, all was well, but in the midst of the holiday was a surprise ... On the beach boys met Grazyna, and all as one, fell in love with her. Each of them, trying to please a girl, shows some human qualities inherent in him alone.

hilipp fühlt sich viel zu klein. Zwar sind seine Freunde in der Schule auch nur gerade drei Käse hoch; er aber meint, Großes könne man nur als Großer vollbringen. So träumt er von großen Taten und Dingen. Und siehe da, er bekommt eine Flöte geschenkt, die Wunder tut! Man muß die Wundermelodie nur möglichst wunderbar spielen, und schon werden die Dinge klein oder groß, ganz wie man will. Nur einen Haken hat die Sache: sich selber darf man nicht größer machen, als man ist, denn dann ist es um die Wunderkraft der Flöte geschehen. Natürlich will eine Wunderflöte ausprobiert sein. So macht Philipp probehalber aus einer kleinen Katze einen kleinen Löwen, der in der Stadt beträchtliches Aufsehen erregt. Einen Riesenfernlastzug verkleinert er zum Zwergenauto. Und die Äpfel der Oma Hundertgramm zaubert er kürbisgroß. Das alles schafft Verwunderung, Verwirrung und Erstaunen. Wie mag so etwas möglich sein? Ob es mit rechten Dingen zugeht..?

Set in the late 1800's, the original "Pelle der Eroberer" (aka Pelle the conqueror) comes from Martin Anderson Nexo's novel about a Swedish boy Pelle and his elderly father Lasse who come to Denmark in search of work and a better life. A bleak and desolate future becomes apparent when the two find employment on a farm full of abuse, slavery, and scandal. Not everyone is happy to see Pelle and his father and soon it becomes obvious to everyone that the immigrants are not welcome.

"Wir waren den ganzen Tag draußen", erzählt Johann Petersen, der auf der Hallig Langeneß aufgewachsen ist. Aus Seegras und Holz haben er und seine Freunde Hütten am Strand gebaut. "Einmal haben wir da drin Feuer gemacht und aus Versehen die ganze Hütte abgefackelt."
Boy Andresen hat das Leben auf den Halligen noch ohne Strom und fließendes Wasser erlebt. Wenn bei Hochwasser Land unter war, hat er sich gefreut, weil es schulfrei gab und er endlich Zeit hatte, Bücher von Karl May zu lesen. In den Prielen ist Boy mit selbst gebauten Booten rumgeschippert - nur schwimmen hat er nie gelernt. "Hühner und Hallig-Lüt", sagt er in seinem charmanten nordfriesischen Platt, "können nicht schwimmen. Das war schon immer so, Hochwasser hin oder her."...
